Poster and Large Format Printing in Malta

Posters, signs, panels and oversized graphics, printed at our Naxxar workshop and delivered across Malta and Gozo. Send the artwork and the size you need — if it is bigger than a standard format, that is normal here.

Poster Sizes

  • A3 — 297 × 420 mm. Counter signs, menus, classroom and noticeboard posters.
  • A2 — 420 × 594 mm. Shop windows, events, gig and club posters.
  • A1 — 594 × 841 mm. The standard event and cinema poster size.
  • A0 — 841 × 1189 mm. Conference and exhibition posters, large window displays.
  • Larger than A0 and custom sizes — we are not limited to the A series. Give us the exact width and height, and we will confirm what we can print in one piece and where a join would fall if the job is bigger than that.

Poster Materials and Finishes

  • Satin and matt poster paper — the everyday choice for indoor posters, rich colour without glare.
  • Photo-quality paper — for artwork, photography and anything that will be looked at up close.
  • Self-adhesive vinyl — for posters that go straight onto a wall, window or panel.
  • Outdoor vinyl with UV-resistant inks — the right choice for anything going outdoors. Nothing outdoors in Malta lasts forever, so tell us how long it has to stand and we will match the material to it.
  • Lamination, matt or gloss — protects against scuffing and handling, and makes a poster last through a season rather than a weekend.
  • Mounted on rigid board — turns a poster into a free-standing sign or display panel. Tell us where it will be used and we will suggest the board.

What People Print Posters For

Events and nightlife — concerts, festas, club nights, theatre and village events. A1 and A2 are the usual pair.

Restaurants, bars and retail — menus, offers, seasonal campaigns and window displays, reprinted as the offer changes.

Conferences and exhibitions — academic and research posters, usually A0, often mounted or laminated for reuse.

Schools, clubs and associations — announcements, fixtures, awareness campaigns and classroom material.

Property and recruitment — window cards, site boards and hiring notices.

Signs, Panels and Rigid Boards

Printed and mounted signage for shopfronts, offices, sites and wayfinding. We also cut panels to shape — see CNC Routing and Engraving for shaped boards and lettering, and Laser Cutting and Engraving for precision work in acrylic, wood and metal.

Wall, Window and Floor Graphics

Wall graphics and murals — full-wall prints for offices, gyms, clinics and retail.

Window graphics — opening hours, offers, logos and frosted-effect privacy film, printed in reverse where it is applied from inside the glass.

Floor graphics — anti-slip laminated vinyl for wayfinding, promotions and safety marking.

Vehicle graphics — contour-cut decals and lettering for vans and fleet vehicles.

For smaller self-adhesive work, including die-cut shapes and roll labels, see Sticker and Label Printing Malta.

Exhibition and Display

Roll-up stands, pop-up backdrops and display panels for trade shows, conferences and in-store promotion. For PVC, mesh and textile banners, roll-ups and event backdrops, go straight to Banner Printing Malta — that is where the full banner range lives.

Sending Artwork for Large Prints

A file that looks sharp on screen can still print soft at A0. What we need:

  • Vector where possible — PDF, AI or EPS with outlined fonts. Vector scales to any size without losing an edge.
  • Photos at 150 dpi at final size — large prints are viewed from further away, so they need less resolution than a business card, but not less than this.
  • 3 mm bleed and important text kept clear of the trim.
  • CMYK if you have a colour-critical brand. We match Pantone references as closely as the process allows.

We check every file before printing and tell you if something will not hold up at size — before it costs you a reprint. No artwork yet? Our Logo and Graphic Design Malta service can build it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the largest poster you can print?
Bigger than A0. We are not limited to standard formats — send us the exact dimensions and we will confirm what goes in one piece, and where a join would fall if it does not.

Can you print a poster in a non-standard size?
Yes. Custom sizes are routine — give us width and height in millimetres and the material you have in mind.

Will my poster survive outdoors?
On outdoor vinyl with UV-resistant inks it will hold up; on paper it will not — paper posters are for indoor and window use. How long it actually lasts depends on the spot: south-facing and exposed is a different job from a sheltered doorway. Tell us where it is going and for how long, and we will say honestly what to expect rather than promise you a year.

Can you print just one poster?
Yes. One A1 for an event is as welcome here as a hundred.

Do you mount posters on board?
Yes, posters can be mounted on rigid board to become signs or display panels.

How long does large format printing take?
Standard jobs are ready in 3-5 working days, and we can turn urgent work around faster. Mounting, lamination and cut-to-shape work add time — we tell you the date with the quote.
